About the Book
ACCLAIM FOR WOMAN IS GODDESS
"It is technically flawless ... what more can I say?"
Fred Cogswell
"Montage in Woman is Goddess is designed to force logic to open the doorway to layers of our inner world. The multitude of overlapping images becomes a meditation from which the reader´s own self emerges."
Rhiannon Morgayne, clergy
"Woman is Goddess is a surreal journey through a mind and through a dream, through a conscious and subconscious realty. In reading surreal work the mind must abandon its need for logic and let itself be immersed in images that weave a logic/un-logic of their own. I am reminded of the surreal novel by Kenneth Patchen, The Journey of Albion Moonlight."
Roger Evers, co-editor Free Lunch magazine, Oregon
"The montage flows wonderfully. It has marvellous images, and the story line is solid. I applaud this work."
Ken Mitchell, Oregon, whose books include: Fatman in the Mirror, The King of Oafs, and Humbly I Offer These Awkward Poems
About the Author
Brenda Fleet Brenda Fleet (1948- ), a native of Quebec City currently living in Ottawa, melded her love of two cultures in the "montage" expression of poetry, which she feels permits a linguistic use of rhythms of her original language, French, within an English vocabulary. Fleet has English literature degrees from Bishop's University and Carleton University, and has been published in books and anthologies such as "Catching the Sun's Fire" (1969), "Some Wild Gypsy" (1976, Borealis) and "Needlepoint" (1980).
