About the Book

Eggy, Ryerson University´s mascot leads the Ryerson Rams Hockey Team to victory in an undefeated 1962/3 collegiate season. Along the way, Eggy learns the lessons of fair play and true sportsmanship. Based on the true story that won the noted hockey team, a place of honour on Ryersons Hockey Wall of Fame in the former Maple Leaf Gardens, in Toronto. Their record to date, has never been broken.

Grandpa Was a Ram is author Sherry Pringle´s first children´s book, written and illustrated by Pringle and her eight-year-old Grandson Jackson Pringle. Her previous two books are a compilation of personal war stories of Canadian men and women in WW2. All The Ship´s Men: HMCS Athabaskan´s Untold Stories publiched by Vanwell Publishing 2010, and Extraordinary Women, Extraordinary Times: Canadian Women of WWII published by Borealis Press, 2015, reveal never before told stories of the service, sacrifice and dedication of over 100 Canadian men and women. Currently she has a revision and two historical novels in the works.
